The xuv700 is an amazing vehicle. Both the scorpio n and the xuv700 have been test driven by me.The automobile is a great investment. The diesel manual luxury pack midnight black xuv700 is reserved by me.Although the scorpio n was fantastic, The xuv700 offered the whole package i was searching for.Interior aspects including the touchscreen, Colour scheme, And functions have outperformed other market competitors. The segment's best performance is the one that is the major focus. When you step on the gas pedal, You can immediately feel the power and how smooth the suspension is.I firmly advise the xuv700 diesel.

    Rear seats

I have been waiting for this car since AutoExpo 2018. And I have become the 75th customer in entire country (and obviously in entire world) to buy this vehicle. But I have made inquiries into other cars in this segment. That is the competitors of Harrier. They are Jeep Compass and XUV 500. I have removed Hyundai Tucson from this list as it is heavily priced for the performance and features it provides. First I have eliminated XUV500. The car is extremely spacious and extremely light to handle easily. But I did not like 1. The looks of XUV500 W11, both exterior and interior compared to Harrier or Compass.2. Sound system is pretty ordinary too, compared to Compass and Harrier.3. The horse power is bit higher for XUV500 compared to Harrier (comes into play after a speed of 120kmph - which I have no intentions of crossing on Indian road conditions). 4. And it has got sunroof (which is awkwardly placed between the front and rear seats inaccessible to either row). 5. And it has got disc brakes for all wheels (which is not a necessity to me, until the braking does the sudden halts for me efficiently). Then I have had tough time to eliminate Jeep Compass. Because the built and looks of Compass are exceptionally great. The quality reminded me of Benz, BMW premium cars in terms of drive quality, NVH levels in cabin, suspension, heavy and safe feeling inside the car. Overall there are lots of premium touches for Compass. The reasons for eliminating Compass are:1. The base variant Compass Sport on road price is 20.5 lakhs - the same price as top variant of Harrier XZ. 2. The safety features provided in Harrier like ESP, Corner stability, Roll over mitigation control, 6 air bags are provide in compass starting from Compass Limited 4x4 edition which is priced at 27 lakhs on road.3. Even if I go with Compass Sport, basic requirements like good leather seats, reverse parking camera, reverse parking sensors, fog lamps, projector headlamps etc should be bought as additional accessories - despite shelling 20.5 lakhs.4. Space of Compass is enough for 5 people, but the rear seats are uncomfortably vertical, causing pains and cramps in abdomen for a bit fat people on long drives. So I bought Harrier XZ and got it delivered on Feb 10th 2019 and roamed more than 5000 kms till date. The following are pros and cons I have observed.Pros:1. The turning radius is very good. 2. The hydraulic steering gives wonderful control on the car. Even at low speeds, the steering is not heavy.3. Very comfortable seats even for a huge person. For long drives these are very apt.4. Excellent infotainment system. Sound system is extraordinary. The touch panel is very responsive and feather touch. Android Autoplay works brilliantly. The dashboard just behind steering is very helpful to check distance to empty, mileage the car is returning.5. Air conditioning for both front and rear is brilliant.6. Braking is excellent and adequate even in high speeds (though rear brakes are drum cylinder brakes). Had an unfortunate chance of testing Corner stability Program. A sudden turn by a biker on highway made me steer hard right. CSP immediatley kicked in and safely did the turn in opposite direction and turned me on to highway after crossing the obstacle.7. ESP programs all are efficient and highly useful. Because of the drive modes, I have an experience of driving 3 different cars as economy mode converts the car engine power to 110 PS, city mode to 125 PS and Sport mode to 140 PS.8. Enormous boot space - I have literally packed my family"s (consists of 5 adults) entire clothes packed into the boot. Nothing more to say.Cons:1. Front view of the car is bit dull and not so eye catching. The tata logo doesn"t help much either to cotradict. The car catches eye only when the side or back of the car comes into view.2. The right side ORVM clubbed with the A pillar creates a huge blindspot. Twice I almost had an accident, and once I gave a slight nudge to a scooterist.3. The Xenon HID projector headlamps are very bright, but when faced with beam lights of opposite vehicles, some blindspots are created. Need extra LED lights to be installed if you are regular in driving on highways, which don"t cover opposite vehicle beam lights.Overall Performance:The handling of the car in any road conditions is excellent in this price range. Whether it be braking, suspension or steering control, everything is exceptional about this car. Talk about comfort, and there is no better seating than Harrier (except of middle person in rear seat). The pickup of the car is magnificent in sport mode. Not so exciting in other driving modes. And coming to mileage, I have travelled from Vijayawada to Tirupati a distance of 450 kms and it cost me 30 litres of diesel at speeds of 120 kmph on highways. This care is built for long drives and it shows. After sale services:Surprised to say this, but the after sale service of Tata is very good. Very good is a huge leap from very bad in terms of servie of Tata in passenger vehicle segment. The approach to customer and his concerns has changed a lot. They have been provocative all the time in resolving small issues I had initially. And door delivery service, suggestions of what kind of service is apt for the car condition has been excellent so far. Overall, I am happy with customer service till date.

    Rear seats

Tata Altroz, The Gold Standard...Tata Altroz is the company's first venture in premium hatchback segment. This is safer and packed with features let's explore Ththis Gold Standard Car....×Design The design of the Tata Altroz doesnot resemble any car till now. Th e looks are given as a part of 'Impact 2.0' that is the design language followed by Tata Motors. From front the position of the fog lamps are seen a little above the regular placement. Even though the car gets projector headlights, they are not LEDs. The tripod stand like grill slots look appealing. This design is followed somewhere also. From the side we have certain elements to note. The piano black finish for the ORVMs and the positioning of turn indicators to the body are some of them. The rear door handle also have been moved to the C pillar. The 16 inch alloys looks well proportionate to the car.Towards the back side we can see the blacked taillights. Like I said above the rear end is also distinct with its cutting edges.Getting in is not a task at all. The doors open widely at 90° making it even easy for older people. The interior have a floating touch screen infotainment panel surrounded by an ambient light setup. Automatic AC controls below it and certain ports like the USB& AUX ports. The car have a semi-digital instrument cluster. Analog speedometer & digital tachometer and other informations. The seats are supportive and offer a good support. They also have a tripod base shaped arrangements on them. Both the front and rear seats have rear armrests. Also like the i20, this car also have rear AC vents. The boot is practical to have luggages for a family trip. You can also flip the back row seats fully to expand the luggage area. No 60:40 splitting is possible.×Driving and comfortThe car is powered by a 1.2 liter revotron petrol engine and a 1.5 liter revotorq diesel engine both are BS6 complaintand are mated to a 5 speed manual gear box no automatic till now but will be released in coming dates. The petrol motor gives 85hp and 113 nm, its a three cylinder engine. But despite being a 3 cylinder mill, the engine is punchy enough to pull the car due to its light weight This motor is seen in the nexon also. The diesel motor is a 4 cylinder one seen in the nexon. But it is detuned to 89hp and 200 nm this is the kingmaker 'the gold standard' as said by Tata. This is a punchy motor since the torque output is got from a very low RPM, this is peppy enough and enthusiastic to drive. On my drive I got a mileage of 16-18 kmpl for diesel. Both these engines have two driving options City& Eco. No sports mode, don't know why Tata avoided it. The mode selector is seen behind the gear lever. This mode. hanges the theme from blue to green.Top trim also gets cruise control setup. The suspension is good enough but you can feel the comfort when you glide over a pathole. Brilliant work by Tata engineers.×InfotainmentThe car is packed with Harman's 6 speaker system. The floating touch screen is easy to use compared to previous Tata cars. The sound quality is brilliant and is class leading. You can customize the theme colour as your wish.×Variants Altroz is available from base xe, xm, xt, xz& xz(o) . The car also packs with various options that includes factory fitted customisations they are Rhythm,Style,Luxe& Urban. These options are available on various levels.×Safety Tata means safety this car scored 5 stars in global NCAP being the second Indian car to scor it and the first car in its segment to score so. The company packs the car with 2 airbags ABS& EBD as standard. ×For whom is this car???If you want your family to travel in comfort& safe. Then you can choose this car. If you are an enthusiastic driver and all you need is a diesel hatchback then you may go for this car. Because this is the only car in its segment to offer a BS-6 complaint diesel engine.×Comparing with competitorsMaruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz, VW Polo are the main competetors.Comparing with them we see that Altroz is stronger than Baleno and its diesel engine is excellent, but coming to petrol baleno scores the more. The i20 is the feature rich car here it also have Hyundai's reliability and offers a 6th gear that its rivals misses. The 1.4litre CRDI diesel and 1.2litre petrol engines are also appreciable. Honda Jazz may be the car with lower specs. But the magic that honda does with its petrol mill is something that none can match with.VW Polo is the synonym of sportiness inthis segment its diesel engine having a nice performance too. But taking care of a VW car is a bit tasky. ×VerdictThe Tata Altroz is a car that a common man can buy it is sufficiently powerfull (diesei motor), and the best in safety. It also offers segment first features like floating screen& ambient lighting

    Car forward

I have been using the Suzuki Ciaz Alpha petrol variant (bs4) for the past three years, And I have completed a total of over 25000 km. The journey was always royal except for some minor incidents which blew away the fun of riding this car. Let me split my review into three parts: the good, The bad and the ugly Good:- 1. The car looks royal and has a pretty good road presence. The dimensions are pretty large, Which provides luxurious leg space and comfort. The second-row seats three people easily without any discomfort. The advantage is that Ciaz doesn't have a bump in the middle of the rear seat, Which makes sitting comfortably. 2. The overall look is pretty, Both front and rear lights are classy. Though the rear light feels like a copycat of BMW, The rear led lights to light up decently. The front light is white led, Which provides better illumination than any other car in the segment. The auto lighting feature, Provided as a feature identifies the range and height of the illumination to be provided on the road. The disadvantage of this is noted in 'the bad'. 3. The ride is joyful, calm, and luxurious. On highways, It feels like floating and moves smoothly, Which feels good. 4. The rear camera clarity is very good, Which gives similar to the 180-degree viewport. 5. The interior of the car looks premium. The premium glossy finish, The wood-like panel in the dashboard, Tan leather seats looks and feels premium. The seats are luxurious, soft and comfortable. Bad:- 1. The auto illuminating light has the disadvantage of auto-adjusting the length and height setting of the illumination. Even when flashing the light or in a high beam, the height of the light is very low. So, If the vehicle from the opposite direction throws light at your eyes, You cannot warn them as your high beam is similar to their low beam. 2. Sound insulation is very bad. You can hear everything outside. Even people talking outside can be heard clearly from inside even if all the windows are closed. The same is the case with the inside voice going out. 3. The Ciaz boasts a premium 4 speaker music system. Which is an average music system. There is an issue with clarity on high and low pitched music. 4. There is an issue with the gear system. Occasionally, The gear doesn't go to the reverse mode. You will have to move the car forward a bit, then stop and put the car in reverse. I initially thought the issue was specific to my car alone, But talking to other Ciaz owners proved that, It was a common issue. 5. You will be offered 20+kmpl mileage by the salesman when buying the car. Never fall for that. I have never got a mileage above 17 km even in eco mode.6.As the dashboard is painted glossy black and the slanting of the windshield is more, When you are driving towards the sunlight, You are blinded as the dashboard is mirrored on the windshield, And you will not be able to see anything. Ugly:- 1. If you leave the car in bright sunlight for a couple of hours, When you get in the car, You will feel a salty, Nauseating smell coming from the air vents. This will go only after turning on the air conditioner for a couple of minutes. 2. Though the car boasts a 1500cc engine, As the weight of the car is more. The power delivery is less. Even on highways, Cars of the lower segment will overtake you very easily leaving you far behind. But, Considering the peaceful and calm ride, That can be ignored. Verdict:- As an overall package. The Ciaz Alpha is a 'not-so-premium' comfortable car to travel long distances, and you will definitely love it.

    The Car Has Enough Power

The driving experience is very good, if not the best. The car has enough power and can reach 100+kmph speed with ease on highways. This is the best-built car from Maruti. It has many safety features. I have driven 60km on city and highway as well. It is a treat to drive this in any kind of road condition. It glides over bad roads. The brakes are amazing! I have 1-2 close calls and had to panic brake, The car performed supremely well and stopped without any fuss. Kudos to Maruti. Best things: drive quality is very good, if not the best very spacious insides out. The rear seat space and the boot space are more than enough. 180 mm ground clearance is perfect for all kinds of road conditions, mid-range and high range are pretty good for spirited driving on empty stretches of road (when it is safe to drive fast). All-around visibility is good from the driving seat and no real blind spots anywhere. Legroom, Headroom, Knee room, and shoulder room are all excellent. The music setup is decent and I have not felt the need to replace the speakers yet. Android Auto works like a charm, rear seat drive quality is excellent. Anyone who has travelled with me in the rear seat has appreciated the drive quality, Especially on bad roads and long-distance drives. Cruise control works really well. I have used the feature many times on long stretches of highways. Fuel efficiency is outstanding! Interior quality could have been a bit more premium, although not a deal breaker. The touch screen and the overall setup could have been bigger and better. In terms of screen size and features, rear AC vents missing, even in the top-end variant. Turbo lag in lower RPM range can be irritating in bumper-to-bumper traffic, some nice to-have features are missing at 11+ lakhs price point such as rear ac vents, sunroof (must for a such a big spacious car), hill hold control, At least 4 airbags, engine noise at higher RPM. Could have been more controlled. Major issue: the coolant valve had failed at around 20, 000km in the middle of a highway and the coolant had started leaking on the road. However, That turned out to be an issue with almost all S-Cross sold in the 2015 batch. Build quality: I once banged a Tata Vista from behind because the driver panicked braked and stopped at 70kmph speed on a busy road. I had no time to stop at a safe distance. There was a big thud sound. However, there was literally no damage to the S-Cross, except a minor dent on the front bumper and one small scratch.

Currently own a 2018 jeep compass limited 2.0l manual diesel. This is the first non-sedan and hatchback vehicle we picked up, moved from a 1st generation Maruti Swift with the 1.3l fiat engine which was rebranded as this under Maruti, that car was our go-to for most highway commutes owed to its stability due to the weight and also the power that engine had to offer. Both dad and I clocked nearly 1.2lkms on that do before we parted with it. Did consider a few other options we had at the time, The first gen Creta, The Ford Eco Sport, S-cross, Duster, and Terrano. Test drove all the cars but none of them checked all the boxes we had for the successor. Jeep was just about to set foot into the market back then, spoke to dad about it, had lengthy conversations about the vehicle and all features on offer, and went on 3 different test drives over a span of 6 months, and dad finally was convinced that this was the right choice. Had a clutch assembly issue, with the response being too hard to use for stop-and-go city commutes and also the highways, all the early released models of 2018 got a replacement from the dealerships free of charge. Our car has seen a fair amount of incidents which could have been far worse than what they were, only due to the importance that the manufacturers give to the built quality of the vehicle, this car has seen us through good days and rough ones, but always brought us back home in one piece. Talking about the drive experience is key. This vehicle was built for the highways and it performs butter smooth, after you've touched 5th gear in flowing traffic, all you're going to use the clutch for is to upshift to 6th when you've gained and reached the speed you want to be consistently driving at, and on occasion downshift just to the 5th if it drops to 60kmph or so because the engine will smoothly pick up speed without having to stress the engine much by shifting through many gears, churning revs and dumping the clutch to get a quick boost. Not saying you can't do that, but scenarios that need you doing that will be very few. The maintenance and servicing are on the pricey end of affairs, not so bad that it's bleeding your pocket dry every time you drop by the service centers. Another thing to mention would be the maintenance charges post the warranty period, our car hasn't really given us any problems thus far on the mechanical side of things, ( which is something jeep is infamous for, most people steer away from it because of the reliability issues on the long run) its seen one break pad change recently. Its closing in on the clutch replacement period but, From what our service exec says, The clutch is in great condition right now and we might only need to look into a replacement around the 75k mark, they have been keeping an eye on the clutch assembly from the 40k mark because most of their other users saw replacements at the 45-50k mark. Our car is at 56k as I write this. I can't really speak for the automatic DCT transmissions, but I'm sure it is a synonymous experience, maybe even smoother for stop-and-go traffic.

    Tried and tested, future proof

I skipped the upgrade to suv styled non suv nexon, Kiger, Magnite temptation and followed the traditional1route of upgrading from a hatchback to a sub 4 meter sedan honda amaze vx cvt petrol. There are couple of1reasons.Firstly the 1.2 liter cvt engine of honda is a tried and tested no-brainer.This is a future proof engine.Initially i booked1a nexon amt.But decided to pull out when i came across a report by a nexon owner from waynad, Whose nexon amt1stalled suddenly, That too after midnight. It was a struggle even though he got road side assistance and many1similar stalling incidents.Driving experience: the cvt is smooth honda amaze has a very good road presence.The1large front good contributes to this.It definitely doesnt look like a sub 4 meter sedan and the rear design1gives the vibes of a yesteryear honda accord. This car gives a very mature driving feel, It is never in a1hurry, Picking up gradually. The comfort level of the car is good with ample legroom and overhead space.The1adjustable driver seat ensures good road visibility. The contoured bucket seat adds to the comfort. The best1thing about the car is how honda has managed to provide an all rounder without compromising on looks, Comfort,1Mileage along with pricing and honda reliability. The boot space of 420 liters is good.Optimum space1utilization by honda.Worst: as i have mentioned earlier, Honda has tuned this cvt for a laid back driving1experience with comfort, Mileage etc.But this also packs a negative for some, If you expect quick pickup and1adrenaline rush in signal stops and sudden overtaking, The car asks you to relax, The cvt takes its time to1pickup speed. The manual honda amaze should be good with the pickup part. The non adjustable rear passenger1headrest is another con.Honda amaze has a surprising mileage performance.I drive in a highway where most part1of the road is single lane.In such a highway i got a mileage of upto 18 kmpl, The mileage indicator also helps to maintain consistent speed. In city traffic i get anywhere between 13-15, Considering factors like breaking, Speed, Congestion etc.So far the highest mileage i got was 21 kmpl for a 6 am drive of 105 kms.Far better than my hyundai i10 kappa2 2012 model.I have drove for 1.3 years and so far no vibrations or any other issues.Build quality is good with a 4 star crash test1rating.The child rating is only 2.Sometimes you can slightly hear outside noise in traffic.I felt the car1needed more under body cover in the engine area. When i open the engine bay, I get the feel that the engine has1a completely exposed bottom end.I am just nitpicking here :)the after sale support is good so far. They call a1week before service date, To confirm the dates and on time delivery after service.Affordable service costs is1another plus.Final verdict: i accept that it doesn't have many shiny gimmicks that the so called suv styled1non suv cars have, But under the good it's a honda, Well balanced, Mature and reliable in all aspects. In 2022,1If you still prefer the good old sub 4 meter sedan vibes over cars with suv imposer syndrome, Honda amaze is a1good buy.

    Adequate bolstering

My Volkswagen Vento (diesel automatic and 2015 make) experience after driving 120, 000 kms.The Vento has an amazing driving experience that makes you carve corners. What I like the most about this car is its brilliant gearbox. The two modes of the gearbox are very smooth and refined with lighting quick shifts. The sporty feel of the car, the efficiency of the TDS engine and the quick-shifting DSG make it a mile muncher. Its been 7 years and I still find reasons to drive this amazing sturdy and safe car. In terms of the comfort level, The front seats are quite supportive with adequate bolstering. The rear seats are also good, However, The legroom is a little bit less compared to other cars in its segment. In fact, it is nowhere close to what my humble Honda Jazz offers. The best thing about Vento is that nobody can beat the driving pleasure. The sporty feel that it gives you is rare in this price bracket. The excellent boot space of 490 ltr. More than enough space for a family trip. Very safe and good build quality. Comes with dual front airbags. Using this car for more than 7 years but still there is no vibrations or rattling sound or any other plastic issues. Build quality is very good as compared to Honda and Maruti. The steering weighs up very well when you gain speed. Even after good sporty driving pleasure does not mean you get less average. In the city, you get an average of 18-19 km. While on the highway you get a very good average of around 25 kmpl. I have personally travelled from Pune to Udaipur (885kms) to pali (186kms) to Udaipur(186 kms). Overall 1200 kms in a full tank of 55 ltr.After-sales service is good. The service is prompt. The worst thing about Vento is it has fewer features than other cars like Maruti, Honda and Hyundai, but to me build quality and driving pleasure is more important than feature-rich cars which compromise on performance and handling. The maintenance cost is quite high. Below a lakh km, I was paying around 15k and 27k alternatively for the annual service. No major part changed during this period but after 1 lakh km in Dec 2020, a series of things happened. At 1.1 lakh km, I was driving the car and suddenly the flywheel got damaged. Had to tow the car and after analysis, They said both the flywheel and the multi-clutch were damaged. Got a bill of 97k. DSGs are unreliable. After driving another 7-8 months, I was getting another gearbox related issue in which the car was not moving in the drive mode. When analyzed they said, mechatronic is damaged. Need to change it. Got another bill of around 80k related to the gearbox in a year's time. Ac performance is quite sub-par. In a state like Rajasthan, on a hot day, the car struggles to cool the cabin. The area which requires improvement in the car is its service cost. Service costs should be lower. Parts cost is very high, especially the imported ones. The company should provide good tyres. Volkswagen group should come with robust ACs in a tropical country like India.

    Peppy driving

Owning/Driving Ignis Zeta MT from last 14 months, crossed 9500 kms on odometer till now. My buying experience:As I had already owned secondhand Maruti 800cc and driven Alto K10 (1000 cc) cars in the past & now wish to buy a new car for the first time, I was looking for a 1200cc car, within budget of 6.5 lakhs, so shortlisted Swift, New Hyundai Santro, Tata Tiago and Ignis. Took test drive of each of them. Facelift Swift VXI was overall a good car but costing at around 7.06 lakhs OTR, Santro Asta test drive was not satisfactory. Tata Tiago XZ was at 6.30 lakhs OTR but had 3 cylinder engine.Further I found that Maruti Swift, Baleno, Dezire & Ignis have the same K12B petrol engine generating similar power.Due to heavy year-end discounts the Ignis Zeta MT was costing me at 6.39 lakhs OTR. In this price I was getting a 1200cc 4 cylinder engine car with 15 inch Alloy Wheels, Push Button Start, Body Cladding, Blue tooth & steering control enabled music system having 6 speakers, Fog lamps, Rear-defoggers with wash wipers, Auto folding ORVM, Extended warranty, NEXA Card & Fast tag. Unbeatable deal, So ignored all other options and finalised the Ignis. From test drive to delivery of the car, NEXA dealership have given me a very nice and memorable experience.Pros:Peppy driving.Standard safety features across all variants.Very good mileage, 14-15 in city & 20-22 on highways with AC on.High ground clearance.Sufficient head and leg room.Easy ingress and outgress.Low maintenance & service cost. Many small features in Ignis such as Door handle design, adjustable head rests on all seats, 60:40 foldable rear seat, Split tail light, bigger tyres, etc are found only in costlier and premium cars.Cons:Rear design of the car is very unique but not appealing to the masses and it is the sole reason behind low sales figures of the Ignis.Body panels are weaker compared to other cars as it easily get dents from hitting of small stones on the road.Somewhat stiff suspension.Servicing at regular Maruti Dealership, so no NEXA experience after purchase. My experience with the car:My routine driving is on poor roads. I have also taken a long road trip with family in my Ignis. But no problem at all.First 3 services within a year are free from Maruti. It costs me around 3600rs. for the oil change, wheel balancing alignment and minor spares till today. From my own experience I can say that Ignis is the Best car at this price point. I recommend to buy NEXA card, as the whole cost of the card can be redeemed within a year.Extended warranty is a gimmick and may be avoided.

    Service charge

I have been using Scorpio for many years. First, I bought, A Scorpio S10 and I am using it in Arunachal Pradesh. Here road condition is dangerous and muddy. I drove s10 at the speed of 170 km/hr and the whole maintenance cost from 2015 to now is under 4 lakh which is extremely affordable. After using s10, I was satisfied. Therefore, I bought Scorpio again now this time s11, Having 140 bhp with good mileage it browned my mind. The performance of the s11 is outrageous, I drove this car whole Himalayas range from Ladakh, Spiti, Whole Himachal and Uttarakhand, Some cities of Punjab, Up, Haryana and Rajasthan. From 2019 to 2021, I lived in Delhi, Therefore these all places are my weekend visit niche. Thus, My s11 serviced all service centres of North India and all records are present on my booklet and the service charge is pocket friendly. After mid-2021, I have visited the whole of Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Nepal, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Assam, Later back to Arunachal again now I am residing in Arunachal Pradesh again. In my opinion, Scorpio is the best-rugged vehicle for rough, Hilly and 4×4 roads, However, Scorpio doesn't need 4*4 to go all these areas and I have proof to support my verdict, You can check my Instagram and youtube feed by going to my profile "header stang", You would love the strength of Scorpio. For instance, In January I visited Tawang. There was heavy snowfall happening, At that time all vehicles were struggling to ascent the hill but Scorpio easily ascent up the Bum La Pass. It was struggling at y-junction and the driver step back to the hotel because Thar all wheels were spinning, but not moving ahead from that position for 1.5 hours. I will suggest to all buyers there, Scorpio is one of the best SUVs for our Indian rough road and its maintenance cost is way cheaper than under 7 lakh cars. I have Maruti and Toyota's SUV but their maintenance cost is not pocket friendly. Moreover, in my opinion. Scorpio is the beast among all the SUVs because it is ready to go all-terrain, and the cost of this vehicle is cheaper than its competitors. If you want to go to the snow area, you just use a snow chain only, because of black ice and you don't need any 4*4 for black ice. All SUVs need snow chains. Otherwise, wheels only spin and won't go anywhere. Therefore, Scorpio is the best vehicle for Indian roads and it is ensured, You will get beast in a small amount.

    Super awesome

Had an amazing customer service while purchasing the car.Got the delivery 1 week before committed date.I had asked for a pdi and the dealer dint show any hesitation & called me over1for it and let me do a thorough examination.Post delivery service was also great attending to all my1questions.1.The car is a sheer drivers delight. The 1.5 mt engine is super awesome. The additional premium on the car is completely justified when you drive the1car.2.The fuel efficiency was 17-20 km/l on highway and 12-14 km/l on city rides.3.Steering adjustment ( tilt & telescopic) helped find the right driving position1& though on lighter side its still precise & helped instilled confidence.4.Clutch & gearbox are1very smooth.Stability is great with almost minimal body roll.5.Suspension was comfortable, However a bit on1the stiffer side.6.Boot space was the eyebrow raiser as i could pack in more bags than the creta ! 7.Storage1spaces are well done with the cooled gloves box capable of holding several 200 ml cans for a refreshing drink1on a hot driving day.8.Ventilated seats are a boon on the hot highway drives.9.Touch screen has high1resolution and very slick and easy to use.10.Comfortable seats and a lovely 2 spoke steering with leather finish is very stylish.Cons: 1.A/c controls being touch, Its tough to set it up without taking your eyes off the road. Also the cooling is1average & not excellent.2.A digital instrument cluster like the one in skoda kamiq would have done1wonders.3.Some bits of the car ( like roof lining ) etc have some cost cutting but those are mostly areas1where your eyes would look once a while. So not a deal breaker.Service & maintenance : expect 6000/- yearly1including labor.Recommend taking the 4 yrs maintenance package as its cheaper in the longer run.Verdict: if1you want a performance car with sensible features with good build & safety then buy this car without a1doubt.The only other car matching this performance in the underrated beast nissan kicks 1.3 turbo but it has some ergonomic issues & a dull interior. However, Kicks is the only car that goes head1on head with this car's performance.

    Probably the most anticipated

Probably the most anticipated electric scooter of 2021 will be the ola s1.It has a tonne of features, A stylish appearance, And a variety of engine and battery options. However, Given that the scooter doesn't have the same body proportions as a gas scooter, The price is a little excessive.

    Smaller tank

Buying experience: I brought this scooter in the year 2010 and now it's 2019 almost 9 years apart , the showrooms staff were good, I got the scooter promptly as they had a good collection of all the colours, mine is blazing red. Important highlights of this scooter included : 1) FIRST scooter made in india with digital colourful multifunctional speedometer includes functions such as TRIPA ,TRIP B ,CLOCK , 0-50km in how many second , 50 meters in how many seconds and not just that 7+ different colours with 3 different styles of colour changing : singular changing, slow dimming automatic changing mode and automatic single colour changing ! There is tachometer like a sports bike , Can you find any other scooter with such a rich dashboard ? Apart from this there is a side stand indicator.Other features include low slammed suspension setup with telescopic suspension in front and uni shock at the rear which gives you really an awesome comfort and cornering confidence Storage space under the seat is about 22 litres I guess it's so so big, till date no other scooter has such a huge storage. Performance: it accelerates from 0-50km per hour in 9.8 secs . Even after 8 years it's the same acceleration , such as good performing scooter, I will explain later in this review of how this is maintained and it's drawbacks. The acceleration is also very linear, meaning it takes you to speeds which you don't realise unless you see the Speedo by the time you reach 70+ kmph speed. The fact is , this acceleration gives you less vibration and therefore more confidence while making turns and sliding the bumps, it's the same confidence you would find in the aprilia150 which is on sale today.Brakes: brakes are just OK, for a scooter this level with a 125cc engine and 108 kg kerb we would need a better brakes to bring this mini hooligan to a stop, but it's just alright , we can adjust with both front and brakes engaged at the same time. By the way , there were no disc brakes for scooter as this class at my time (2010) of buying. Barely there was no competition for this with only suzuki access 125 being its counterpart or partner in crime.Looks : even today after all these years it's too stylish and is still noticeable by many on the road, it still stands apart, designed by the Italian designer SYM , I am not sure of where this designer is located or who was behind the model, but it's sleek design , making it very stylish if you look at it from any angle , I mean just look at it. Rodeo is a crowd puller. Now coming to important part, the disadvantages: Even though rodeo has a good ride experience, performance , road presence, handling like a bike , good refinement, raspy exhaust, still it has many disadvantages and drawback due to the bad R&D team whom were present in mahindra two wheeler division, which I have to accept as a customer and today they all are fired out of the company. There will always be customers waiting at service centre because they have complains on and off , even for normal complains such as side side loose or scooter getting hit on all potholes and bumps , I know why all that happened and what went really wrong.Let me put it all of those in single words or points:1) poor ground clearance leading to risk of fuel tank breakage since its fuel filler is next to front steering goes just below the chassis so anytime if you want to off road , think twice or you should learn or master how to not hit the tank by hard riding 2) side stand hits the road when you try to park , even with your scooter up straight, always 3)Headlamps focus: if you are night rider , make sure that the headlight adjustment s***w is focused to the road , or else the light will focus straight on the other vehicle , not on the road , even at low beam , so everytime service centre adjustment is required .4)rectifier aka RR unit : as many of you don't know the rodeo scooter has a big fault with the rectifier unit which converts AC TO DC current from the dyno to the battery, so this unit frequent fails thereby killing your bulb of all lights , and your speedometer too , now you have to keep checking the current of the rectifier time to time , to avoid this, ofcourse the battery is the first component to die in this issue. (As I kept changing battery every 2 years for no reason, is due to this problem , which I learnt from a good mahindra service centre and espcially battery shop, they will diagnose problem and will tell you this!)5) engine : after usage of just 25 or 30kms all the engine components such as a valve, timer, etc will fail easily) just a short period ? Since i maintain my scooter well , still all these failed, even from other owners the same complains emerged , so for all the parts, I mean all the wearable parts: to change: mahindra 2 wheeler service has a ready made list which has parts to change and will cost you 7000rs in total ,Mileage is about 20 to 25kmpl is my honest opinion even if you drive real slow and in constant speed , it will give you max 30kmpl in real time that's it . So is rodeo a big fail: well this is the first scooter from mahindra , but I feel really sad for the owner of this company , because the r and d department really failed and cheated on them, and this caused complete customer dissatisfaction from everyone . I mean even me liking the scooter and knowing all these problems for all these years, I will be the few owners who hasn't sold or thrown the scooter away, you know why, because this is unique , this performance oriented , and well it's my highschool sweetheart. Hope this helps everyone to decide to buy this or not, I will say that today they have recitifed many problems in this , the latest UZO125 rodeo is good. Well you have to make up your mind , if you are good maintainer then just buy it and if not, then don't complain later. My only complain will be smaller tank and less mileage other I'll live with this anyday over other scooter with all their features, even today.

    City riding

Let me summarize my 8 Months ownership review pros: 1. Awesome mileage - before 1st service I was getting 50kmpl when driving in city limit with 60-70kmph. It drops down to around 42kmpl on highways. After 2nd service, I was getting around 55kmpl in the city and around 45kmpl on highways. This is far better than many 150cc bikes like pulsar 150 or 160NS, RTR 160 4v, etc. 2. Very lightweight - I have driven a fair share of bikes from bajaj pulsar 200 and 220, Tvs apache 150. I must say given a 180 cc engine, It is far lighter than 200 cc segment bikes and is within range of 150-160 cc bikes from other brands. How does it help? While cornering on roads you feel more comfortable and confident while handling.3.Overall handling in the city - it is very easy to maneuver in the city even in heavy traffic. You will feel like you are just flying. Can't say more on this as this was the primary thing I was looking for after driving pulsar 220. (220 is a damn heavy bike and I had an issue while driving in traffic)4. Power - now many will look at the performance sheet and say the engine is underpowered, But let me tell you it has absolutely best in class weight to power ratio. Whenever you need to accelerate in traffic you can rely on this bike. The low and mid-performance are just awesome. I always zoom past traffic whenever the traffic light changes to green. The high end is not that peppy but still, we usually do not need that high performance in city limits.5.Engine refinement - this is also one of the best features I feel for this bike. The vibration is almost negligible, When standing still sometimes I get confused that the engine is not running at all. Even at 80-90s, there are minimal vibrations. Yeah after 100 it does start feeling some vibrations but being driven pulsar 220 it seems nothing.😆6.Tires - Tires are the widest available in the segment of 180 to 200 cc bikes. Along with being lightweight, stability is just out of the world. I can say with ease that even beginners with very little experience can handle this bike easily. 7. Looks - the looks are just awesome, It has been a head-turner every time I stop. I own the Repsol edition and from the front, it looks like a BMW. I have mistaken another hornet 2.0 coming from the front with BMW G310r. Cons:1.Stiffer suspension - due to suspension being on the stiffer side the stability is just awesome but takes away some comfort while driving at high speed on a bad road. So if you are from a city which has very bad roads or you live in the suburbs of a city. Your back might hate you to drive this. To be honest engine refinement goes for a toss on a bad road. We can adjust the suspensions also people have said that the suspension gets softer with use but I feel more like people getting habitual to the suspension. Overall for me, it is not a big problem as I mostly use it within the city and good roads.2.Pillion seat - it is okay to travel for a short distance on a pillion seat but long tours are not recommended. I have sat in the back seat for a good 1 hour and I could feel the stiffness building up on my bum and legs. Again the seat has ample space so it is okay to go for 40-50kms inside the city limit. But touring with a pillion is big no no.3.Ground clearance - the bike is short compared to its competitors. I have hit the main stand of the bike on sharp speed breakers and potholes many times when I was driving with a pillion on.When alone it doesn't have much problem. I weigh 73 kgs. So it is beneficial for short riders but for healthy people, they should first test drive it to see if it fits their purpose while clearing speed breakers and potholes. 4. High-end performance - this bike lacks high-end performance and red lines on 125-130kmph. Also, the wind blast is high due to being a naked streetfighter. Overall for city riding it doesn't have much problem.

  • Apache 200 4V
    Overall Good Experience

I bought the top model on 17th February 2022 as my first bike. Here are some pros I have observed in only this bike at such a price range. 1) adjustable levers (mildly useful). 2)slipper clutch (very very useful). 3)gear indicator (very useful). 4) rear view mirrors(best in the market). 5)dual channel abs. 6)urban mode saves petrol and results in excellent mileage. (i got 44.3litres with power petrol from a shell company (115rs per litre). 7)the torque feels amazing even in urban mode and the bike is 150kgs+70kg(my weight).8) side stand cutoff is also available from this year.9)gtt is very useful for beginners like me. 10)horn is very loud. I think it's even louder than some cars. Now here are some cons I have faced that I wasn't aware of before buying this vehicle. 1) overweight people can't sit as a pillion due to stepping up and splitting seats. 2)side stand length is small therefore bike leans at an even more acute angle than other bikes, Therefore the risk of the bike falling especially while parked in sand/grass or soft ground. 3) shifting to neutral is a hassle because of the gears being so smooth. Sometimes when you want 2ndgear while driving it will shift to neutral first and then you have to shift again. And while parking when you shift for neutral from 1st gear it will skip to 2nd xd). 4)biggest con I guess is the large turning radius, especially for a beginner. Tyres are also thin in accordance with the size of the bike(same tyres as of rtr160). 5)review Bluetooth functions-a)GPS display on the instrument cluster is useless because the GPS of TVs connect app is very bad. You can't connect google maps or any other GPS with your bike. B)call message text alert-very useful and applicable. C) lean angle is accurately measured and recorded in the app. D) routes and distances covered are also accurate. E)gear shifting patterns are very useful and accurate for beginners like me. I think everyone should at least consider this bike (especially beginners) when looking to buy a new bike. I researched bikes for 8months before getting my hand on this one. I had booked mt15 and rtr160special edition also but cancelled both of them when my mind got stuck on apache200.This bike is the queen of its segment. No debate. Of course, NS200 is a great bike but almost no one nowadays buys a motorcycle for its high torque and power and enjoying high speeds (125+). If you need to ride constantly long distances at speeds above 100+kmph then you should not consider apache200. I live in a crowded city with mild to high traffic and considering my lifestyle and surrounding environment my purchase was worth the wait of 8months.

    Average job

I've been using CBR250R ABS for more than half a decade now. I'll categorize my review: Performance: The bike is smooth in initial(typical Honda) but as soon as you cross 6K rpm, the Bike shoots a boost of power. The torque is really good from mid to high range, particularly from 6K to 9K, the front wheel wants to lift & I get goosebumps. Honda engine is very smooth, stress free & reliable, never got broken or overheated thanks to liquid cooled, zero problems with radiator.Breaks: I bought the ABS version, it gets Nissin calipers which are one the Top best breaks in terms of quality & reliabiity in the segment, the breaks never ever disappoint me, unless tires are bad.Suspension: The front suspensions are party smooth, but takes the city bumps quite good, but very sensitive to feel on your palms but the rear suspension is bit on harder side.Tires: This bike is less of track focused but more as Sport tourer, the Stock Contigo tires does average job, i recommend to change them soon or after 20K kms after bike purchase & which to Michelin Pilot streets or Apollo Alpha H1, they're quite good interms of Corner & Wet grips & also has decent life, for Fun rides Your choose Pirelli diablo rosso or Metzeler M5.Lights: The Halogen headlight is pretty good & LEDs of new model is slightly better but I recommend the halogen once, they have good spread and visibility than any other bikes. Indicators are quite visible & overall everything is stylish.Console: The bike gets semi digital console which is pretty accurate, info is enough for the bike, Speedo, odo, Total kms, 1 trip meter, Fuel level, Heat indicator & ABS light. Zero issues.Chassis & Dimensions: The Honda's built quality can never be doubted although you have to take precautions of lot of things which depends upon your riding conditions. The Ground clearance is 145mm but i never scratched the bottom of engine because it doesn't have center stand. The windshield protects the air until 90 kmph or less.In crosswinds the bike sometimes gets wobbles. The weight of the bike is not much but can become nightmare in pulling bike in tight parking also due to longer wheelbase and small turning angle, but Shorter seat height helps alot.Comfort: Rider seat is medium soft but you can easily tour for whole day, Rear seat is short but good for upto medium sized pillion, but pillion starts complaining after half hour but start getting used to after regular rides.Front footpegs are quite rearset and upward to give you sporty feeling but comfortable. The seating positions of rider is medium forward, not straight or aggressive, which helps in longer rides.Mileage:In very aggressive riding(Top end, drag or stunts): 24kmplIn City commuting: 26-28kmpl for speeds 0-60kmphIn Highway & tours: 30-36kmpl for speeds 90-110kmphOverall mileage 28kmplMaintenance cost: Service cost is around 1700 to 2200 depends upon the conditions, Extra service may cost extra but this is very budget friendly. Various types of Tire sets are available from 5k to 13k for a Pair, depend upon your choice & need.Break pads are for 1600 each for ABS & 950 for Non-ABS.check the link for all Accessories & part values on:htt******htmAdditional note: Bike doesn't have center stand so the repairing a puncture or changing the tires or cleaning-lubing the chain can be surprising.

  • Classic 350 (2012-2021)
    3.0
    Shoulder pain

I'm 6ft1in tall. I previously own a Royal Enfield Classic 350. And let me share my experience.I'm one of the several people who fell for the looks of the motorcycle, who fell for its connect with the person who rides (possibly due to the vibrations), who fell for its low end torque, who fell for its sound.Initially it will attract you a lot and it will make you feel like a King of the Road. As you are on love with the bike, you will love its pros and love even more for its cons! Now coming to the performance it is a lazy elephant which took almost 16seconds to reach 100Kph, with a ton of vibrations. But you will love it during short rides and can't cope with after 30minutes. Because after riding over 100Kph over 30minutes, your hands will be numb and your whole body vibrates. And to come over this feeling, you need a healthy 30minutes of break. So riding under 80Kph helps but not much by a significant margin. So, let's talk about the comfort, with the stock handlebar, I've had a lot of lower back pain. With RD350 handlebar, Classic's perch is better for atleast 30 minutes if ridden sanely under 80KPH. After that, I've sharp pain in my knees due to constant vibrations from footpegs no matter the RPM you choose to ride. If ridden above 80Kph, two more pains will shoot: one from my shoulders and other from my b**t due to the vibrations it has on offer.Talking about mileage, it will provide me 33Kpl if ridden over 100Kph, 38Kpl if ridden at 80Kph, 44Kpl if ridden under 60Kph.Throttle response is lazier due to carburettor, now it is much better due to the addition of FI. Brakes are poor, front disc is less bitey and rear drun brakes are wooden (now even comes with rear disc, but still feels wooden). Ride quality is good. Tube tyres are a problem. (Tubeless is on offer today)And coming to the maintenance part, it digs a hole in your pocket during paid service. Free service costs a maximum of INR.1500. But paid service cost minimum is INR.2500. And at 24000kms, a paid service costed me around INR.10,000. People at Royal Enfield Service Centre never repairs but just replaces. It may be due to the Sub-par quality of the spare parts. So, on even years (after first year with free services) you need to allocate around INR.6000 for servicing it. And on odd years, you must pay INR.8000-10,000 for servicing. In 3years of ownership, I've spent around INR.25,000 for services alone.I've used it for 3years and ridden it for 30thousand Kilometers and finally have sold it due to heavy vibrations which causes me consistent right shoulder pain and also high maintenance it demands over years. Finally the resale value is good. Conclusion: It is pointless to buy 350cc machines from Royal Enfield today. Better opt for their 411cc or 650cc machines. If you want to buy a 350 from Enfield, wait for their J platform launch. Thank god, they bid adeu for their 500cc UCE engines. Don't commit the mistake I've once committed.Still in August 2020, this Classic 350 is their best seller. Royal Enfield doesn't want to let their milching cow, that's why they are gonna introduce the new J platform engines in their lower selling model, Thunderbird. People must change!!! For those who are in a hurry to buy a Classic or Bullet 350, Wait till J platform's lauch.

  • Pulsar 180
    4.6
    Upright torso

It was 2013, Me and my brother were looking for a 150cc bike for daily commute and and at that time all we had were Pulsar, Apache, Fz, Fazer, Cb Xtreme, Hunk and Unicorn. Moreover our commute was to college and we needed a snap...so i was convincing my brother and family for bigger bikes like pulsar 220, R15 and 200NS but effeciency was also concerned where petrol price hike was an issue back then and till now! lol So on keeping all factors...we were close with 3- Pulsar 180, Pulsar 220 and Apache 180 (hero twins were not sure on production and availability). And eyes closed we've rejected Apache for vibrations as soon as we first test ridden it as our daily commute was about 80-100 kms. So it was within the same brand and with efficiency concerned we had no further option rather than sticking with 180. We were already a fan of Pulsar for its looks and features. firstly illuminated switch gears, auto turn off indicators and DC lighting. which made it standout from the bikes back then. First Impression: From the first sight the naked styling with clip-ons , Fatter front and rear tires with chunky forks it looks kinda strong addition to twin pilot lamps(Wolf eyed) styling with Speedlines vinyl(half black) was quiet impressive.Build: The bike is slightly heavy as it's on 220s chassis and Metal fuel tank, heavy exhaust which makes hefty and the Fit and finish is average causing skeeching noises and till 3 years there were no rust signs but the paint of black parts like engine block, cylinder fins, exhaust, wheels were poor which is visible to naked eye itself. But other than that the metal body doesnt make any issues.. with proper maintenance the bike keeps on shining and its been 7 years haven't seen the paint peel off...infact paint quality is still great even on plastic panels. And the bike is quite silent in regular speeds without buzz, only in top end the foot pegs and seats get the buzz. Ergonomics: At the beginning i felt the bike was heavy for my age which is common but later was in love with the ergonomics, especially the comfortable not so low clip-ons and back slung pedals the position is spot on for long rides. Also pillion seat was big enough and equally as spacious like 150 and not bad. But fixation of ladies footrest(saree) is not possible as suspension is taller in 180. Only care to be taken is when pillion gets backpack, the extended plastic end gets scratched easily. Overall the position is good for both city and Highway conditions with upright torso and lean back pedals.Seats are a tad hard comparing to any bike. long rides were never delightful with these, hard cushion makes it sturdy in city conditions but for long rides sore b**t is for sure. And wind blast is vigorous at even 80 kmph which bike does it in ease and unless you tug in, doing high speeds is like a pullback! Performance: Having 180 is surely advantage where no 150 commuters messes around...overall performance compared to Apache 180, Pulsar 180 is not close to Apache 180 where the acceleration is better in apache with shorter gearing but pulsar shines in Topspeed and Highway cruising with ease maintaining triple digits without any vibrations. The additional weight of pulsar is also visible in acceleration. However the Torque spread is from 4000rpm above that which the bike pulls straight to 9000rpm and after that the juice fades which is limited with Cdi to 10000rpm. Transmission is something that was hectic in pulsars back then with sluggish gear shifts which usually makes you held up in neutral while shifting from 1st to second and engaging 5th gear from 4th was quiet a task. Clutch is not as light as japanese but still Lighter than any Royal Enfields back then. The Engine is air cooled and does the job with no issues but i havent risked it longer than 100 kms. Took a break for every 100kms in long rides. And the bike came up without any fuss even on topend. Clocked 52k kms till now and reached topspeed of 154 kmph.(not sure may be bajajs speedo error) haven't checked in GPS but sure that'll be close.Braking: one thing that im impressed is with the brakes.. with soft suspension in front and heavy front end makes the bikes brakes so confident inspiring without locking front wheels and bigger disc offers decent feel in the lever. One thing old pulsar 180 model missed is Rear disc. Mine got only Drum at rear which usually locksup in solo and not that confident inspiring with pillion. even on locking the wider tires(MRFs) gives enough confident to ride hard. the softer front suspension helps in not locking up front wheels but nose dive is heavy and unless you have straight roads for stopping surely needs skills. while cornering definitely Pulsar is not composed or even confident inspiring like Apache and 200NS , Pulsar 180 feels kinda bouncy and usually the exhaust scraps down in right and foot pegs in left. But where Pulsar shines is in highways with add on weight and long wheelbase the stability is unmatched, it can do Triple digits all day long without making the rider giving a shock unless you change the seat(bahoth hard)! Also the adjustable nitrox only softens and stiffens up rear end while the most important is front suspension which is miss. Milege: When ridden soft and not so aggressively the figures keepup above 40 kmpl and in highway it stretches to 45 kmpl and in average i get around 42kmpl, With Huge 15 litres tank the Range easily 500 kms. Overall: Pulsar 180 is a bike above 150cc commuters and does the work in its own style and 18 years of legacy in Indian motorcycling. Especially that snap over the 150s and 160 cc's like Apache 160, Fz and Fazer is definitely worth it. Now the Pulsar 180F is only available with semi-fairing and not in naked street, which is very much needed especially for that windblast in cruising speeds. Its the bike that's not for maniac riding and amature riding, its the one for city limit crossing commuters conquering both city and highway conditions, who rides like a commuter and want a bit fun occasionally. That brand and classic Wolf pack styling is always Nostalgic.

    Catching motorcycle

This is undoubtedly an eye-catching motorcycle. You'll often notice people turning their heads. It is also very comfortable and has "excellent" braking capability. Never seen a bike with such terrific braking performance. However, It does not seem to be very reliable. On the first day of delivery, The bike stopped after 5 km and we had to tow it back to the garage. The next day the starter motor was changed and it was fixed. Point to be noted, The motor of a brand new bike had to be changed in just one day. Ok fine, Let me take that as a technical exception and not be judgmental about that. After all, it's a machine and perhaps bad luck. But no, It doesn't end there. Over the next one month, The bike again stopped several times in the middle of the road due to two reasons: 1. Overheating 2. Taking the clutch and releasing the accelerator. Now, Every now or then I would see the engine temperature reaching over 100c even when riding at 40-50km/hr. When I called service people they said 100c is very normal because 105c is the limit. Just 5c below the limit every now and then doesn't seem normal to me. One fine day the bike stopped in the middle of the road and refused to start because the temperature reached over 105. Though it eventually did start after 20 minutes, But hey. What the hell? it's not a 200hp bike that heat management is so difficult. Apart from this, The bike has stopped several times when I applied the full clutch and released the accelerator. In fact, riding this bike was like a luck game. I hope it doesn't stop! another thing is that this bike has a very very bad low rpm power delivery. It is useless to drive the bike below 4000rpm. At low revs, One wrong gear or a slight quick release of clutch and the engine begins to knock out. This makes low speed driving a very bad experience. Not just me but several people who have tried my bike have ended with a sudden engine turn off because of bad low rev power delivery. The bike though becomes fun after 4k rpm but it's pain below that. Also, the power delivery is highly non-linear. It comes in bursts after 4k and again somewhere after 6k. After the first service of the bike after 1000km, the heating issue was solved and switching off when taking clutch also reduced significantly. One more thing I think could be better is the speed. With my brother sitting at the back, Which is mostly the case, The bike struggles reaching 120km/hr.I don't mean it can't reach more than 120, But the time it would take to cross this speed will require an impractical stretch of free road. So for all practical purposes, We can find it reaching 80 to 90 easily on the Delhi ring road with moderate traffic. Just wish it could be 120 or so with ease instead of 90. To sum up1. Stunning looks and somehow the brand value (really?) adds to it.2.Very comfortable, Glides through rough roads.3.Very good breaking performance.4.Very bad low rpm power delivery5.Speed slightly lower than expectations. Why 4 stars even after all this? well, I think the overall ownership makes me feel a 4-star satisfaction. It's not only the engine you see when we talk of how you feel about owning a particular bike. A million-dollar question would be, If you removed the brand value would I still rate this 4 stars? honest answer, No. I would rate it 3.5 stars. So the extra 0.5 stars just for the ego boost of owning a BMW? perhaps yes. Would I recommend this bike? yes, I will, There's perhaps no competition to it in terms of comfort and appearance. Given the option of a 100% refund, Will I buy a different bike? well no. Out of the box, But I decided on this bike over the ninja 650 which I was initially planning. No it was not the price, It was the feel. Even today I will not swap this with a 650. Just for information a few quick facts: it cost me 3, 50, 000 on road in Delhi with the blue and red colour option which was around 7k extra. I ride in the city and the mileage is 25km/once I broke the clutch lever and it cost over 3k to have it replaced. The first service cost over 7k.

    Payment plan

main issues with revolt 400 1. when you even slighly touch brake engine stops, then when engine starts only when you race or throttle.2. even with slow throttle there is j**k at the start, when you race the throttle even little it will starts with a jerk3. The bike lags in the power delivery when it comes to throttle response.4. electric charging stations are few right now.5. RV 400 comes with a 3.24 kWh Lithium-Ion battery its weight is 19 kgs is quite heavy, not an easy task to carry it to say, a power outlet inside home for charging.6. it's power drops down.... specially when on incline or riding up on bridge.7, you need 6 months bank statement to buy this bike + adhaar car + pan card 8, when you stop paying the bike will stop working 9. Three colours only, silver, black, red10. 37 months payment plan or cash11. sound is only a speaker, so speaker can be spoiled after while then there will be no sound12. 78-100 Rs elecrtricity cost per charge 13, if you living on higher floor without lift then it will be difficult to carry the battery up to home so you will need wire extension 15 Ampere plug to ground floor to charge it. 14. fibre body will break if you fault as there is leg gaurd or crash gaurd in the front of your legs so if you fall body will c***k which will be big expenditure to replace the fibre body. so find out the cost of fibre body replacement cost. Also there is no safety of your legs in case of accident. you would have to fit the crash guard to the frame for it to be of any use. That would be difficult as the fairing on the side covers the frame. Even if you manage to get past the fairing, the frame design and placement would not provide a rigid base to install a crash bar.15. belt will need replacement so find out cost of belt replacement. sound in the belt16, seat is small ,cushion is not that comfortable you need to sit slightly back17. chinese super soco dc max chasis , brakes, motor.18. green number plate. 19. can we drive in rains company says all electronic parts are water proof but you need to protectthe bike by wearing rain jacket for safety. Price is good cause electric scooter Ather 450cost is Rs. 1.06 Lakh* and Bajaj chetak costs 1.15 Lakhs.Introductory benefits such as unlimited battery warranty (8 years/ 1.5L km), free maintenance benefits (3 years, 30,000kms), product warranty (5 years, 75,000 km) and insurance (one-year, company-owned, five years third-party is included in the cost). The RV400 is powered by a 3.24 kWh lithium-ion battery operating at 72V that generates 3W of power. It provides a maximum range of 150 km on a single charge and gives the bike a top speed of 85 km/hr.Apart from this, the RV400 Premium also gets immobilizer and push start/stop button, both of which are not offered on the base variant. Another major difference between Revolt RV400 base and premium variant is that the artificial exhaust note feature is only available on the premium model and not on the base trimAnother difference between Revolt RV400 Base and Premium model is with regards to their payment plan. RV400 base's plan of ₹3,499/month includes battery switch cost till 31 December, three years maintenance cost, one year own damage insurance policy along with third party insurance for five years, and product warranty for five years. However, this plan does not include the cost of one time tyre replacement and and will levy an additional ₹5,000 for the provision of 4G internet connectivity for three years. However, Revolt RV400 Premium's subscription plan offer a lot more than what you get with the base trim. So, besides offering all the benefits offered by RV400 base model's plan, the RV400 Premium plan includes own damage insurance for first three years, cost of one time tyre replacement and charges for 4G connectivity for three years.Baterry warranty 5 years or 15000 kms. 2 years charger warranty ...Break pads 5 years warranty , tyre warranty is with conditions. Not suitable for long drive over 100 kms, it is meant for city drive onlyCost effective Rs 25 for 100 kms. htt******228

Owned and using TB500 since

Owned and using TB500 since March2016. Average 20kms/day...48000kms approx done. Buying and servicing experiences were good. But the performance of the bike is TERRIBLE. Brand new and within 4 months had to replace the fuel pump(costs Rs.15000 !!!)...fortunately it was covered in the 1year warranty and I was saved. The front mud guard is a joke...its there only for show, but doesnt do what its supposed to... Bike runs over a small water patch and you have water sprayed on both your feet. Imagine the scene in the rainy season...your trouser legs as well as shirt front are covered in muddy spray which doesnt wash off easily....Rear mud-guard also does a good job of spraying the back of the person riding with you... I wonder what kind of donkeys RE have in their design department who think only about looks and appeal, but not a thought given to utility and well being of the rider. Also, within 1st year I had to replace Ignition assembly as the ignition switch shorted out because of rain water entry !!!...lots of other bikes around from different companies...they dont get shorted ignition switches. But TB500 does !!!....replaced fuel gauge (TWICE !)...bcoz it just keeps showing wrong level...after 2nd replacement I gave up bcoz it still shows the wrong levels...,and in the next year the chain sprocket assembly, handle fork cone-set, brake pads (twice),...and about 4months ago, in March2019 the bike just shut off in mid-ride...went dead !!!... RSA technician managed to burn my wiring while checking the fuse box, and there was a battery death due to 2weeks(!!???!!) bike inactivity when I was out for a holiday in May2019, and yesterday morning (6July2019) the same thing like 4months ago happened...bike just went dead in mid-ride. Red ignition switch dead !!!...self-start or kick start doesnt work...currently at service center awaiting problem diagnosis from service advisor.I had TVS Victor GL for 12years until 2016,...she was a gem...never troubled me once for first 7years!!!...just change oil on time and she was good...neither my daughter"s TVS Wego troubled me since 2010. These were cheaper, less powerful, non-premium bikes...but no hassles...and TB500??...2lakhs in 2016 and just look at the headache I brought home !!!I have decided to sell it off asap...just not sure whether to go for another RE model...bcoz their spares quality doesnt seem to be much, considering the amount of replacements I"ve had to make. If you"re thinking of buying TB500 then think 10times, and be ready to shell out a lot for maintenance, not to mention the headache and irritation !!! STAY AWAY !!!

  • XPulse 200
    Great Ground Clearance

This bike has the great ground clearance and adjustable suspsension. it simply glides thru all the bumps and potholes. The 4v variant offers smoother performance and slightly higher speeds on highways compared to the earlier motors. Xpulse is not a highway machine and straight smooth highways, but for an off-road-oriented machine, Xpulse can be surprisingly fast on curves. The chassis is so well balanced and the light weight makes it very flickable.
