TVS Radeon Latest Updates

TVS has launched the latest iteration of the Radeon with a lot of updates, including segment-first features. Check out what this bike gets in our launch story here.

TVS Radeon is offered in two main variants: A Base variant and a ‘commuter of the year’(COTY) variant which is further offered in both, a drum and disc option. Prices start from Rs 59,925, whereas the COTY drum brake variants are priced at Rs 71,066 and Rs 74,066, respectively. The dual-tone disc brake variants are priced at Rs 71,966 and Rs 74,966(all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

TVS Radeon Engine

The TVS Radeon BS6 is powered by a 109cc single-cylinder engine with fuel injection. Working alongside a four-speed transmission, the powerplant produces 8.19PS at 7350rpm and 8.7Nm at 4500rpm. TVS claims the updated fuel-injected engine offers 15 percent more mileage than before. That said, the underpinnings have been unchanged. It continues with a telescopic front fork, twin rear shock absorbers, front 240mm petal disc or a 130mm drum (depending on the variant), and a rear 110mm drum brake.

TVS Radeon Variants

TVS offers the Radeon in a total of three variants: standard, Commuter Bike Of The Year Edition with either a front drum or a disc. The Commuter Bike Of The Year Edition features an optional 240mm front petal disc, premium diamond pattern tan seat cover, rubber paddings on top of the fuel tank as well as on the sides, chromed out levers and rear view mirrors, and more premium colour schemes: Chrome Purple, Chrome Black and Chrome Brown. The standard model is available in Regal Blue, Pearl White, Metal Black, Golden Beige, Royal Purple, Volcano Red, and Titanium Grey.

TVS Radeon Design

The Radeon looks pretty much the part of a typical commuter, reminiscent of the Hero Splendor. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing as the Splendor’s spartan looks are favoured by buyers who prefer a no-nonsense commuter motorcycle. Having said that, the Radeon also makes its presence felt with several chrome elements all over the bodywork. The bike offers a comfortable riding posture thanks to the single-piece seat, tank grips, and upright handlebars. The fit and finish is superb, and the bike feels like it is built to last. The instrument, although a full-analogue unit, is neatly laid out and easy to read at a glance.

TVS Radeon Features

The TVS Radeon comes with a halogen headlight and a horizontal LED DRL. The indicators and the tail lamp are all bulbs. There’s a side-stand indicator, a USB charging port, and an all-analogue instrument cluster showing the speed, fuel level, Econometer lights (Eco and Power, which light up depending on the throttle input), odometer readings, and other tell-tale lights.

TVS Radeon Competitors

The BS6 TVS Radeon goes up against the Hero Splendor Plus and the Bajaj CT110. In its price bracket, the Radeon also competes with the Honda CD 110 Dream and Hero Splendor iSmart 110 BS6.
