Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon Latest Updates

There’s a new baby Pulsar NS in town. Say hello to the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar NS125 that looks like a scaled-down version of the Pulsar NS160. This new Pulsar comes in at Rs 93,690 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it nearly Rs 13,000 dearer than the top-spec Pulsar 125. If you want to know more about this baby Pulsar, check out this story.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon Engine

Powering the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is a downsized version of the NS160’s 160.3cc engine. You get a brand new 124.45cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve SOHC unit that makes 12PS at 8500rpm and 11Nm at 7000rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. This new motor is housed in the traditional perimeter frame found on all Pulsar NS models. It seems that the slim telescopic fork, skinny tyres, and braking hardware have been lifted straight off the regular Pulsar 125, while the monoshock sourced from the NS160.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon Variants

The Pulsar 125 Neon is available in both drum and disc variants, with each trim arriving in a standard single seat or a sportier split-seat option. Prices for the Pulsar 125 now start at Rs 73,363 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon Design

The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 follows the same design ethos as its other NS siblings. The same wolf-inspired headlamp, muscular tank, chunky body, and split-seat setup make their way into the NS125. However, blame it on the skinny tyres and a slim telescopic fork, the proportions of the bike do not seem quite right.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon Features

Features on the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 are scanty. There’s no LED headlight or a full-digital dash. Even the semi-digital console misses out on the range indicator and gear position indicator. The halogen headlight and LED tail light are pretty much identical to the NS160 and NS200.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon Competitors

The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is a sportier and more youthful alternative to the regular Pulsar 125. In the 125cc space, it is dearer than the Hero Glamour 125, BS6 Honda Shine, and Honda SP125. However, while these are primarily commuter-centric, the Pulsar NS125 is meant to be a performance-oriented learner’s bike. And in that sense, it is a lot more affordable than the more powerful and highly sophisticated KTM 125 Duke and RC 125, which are currently priced upwards of Rs 1.50 lakh.

What is good and bad in Pulsar 125?

  • Pulsar 125 Positives

The matte black shade with blue highlights really is a head-turner, Features clip-on handlebars, a first in its segment, The plastic quality feels top-notch.

  • Pulsar 125 Negatives

The cushioning in the seat feels a little hard, Engine feels a little strained at high speeds, Price is a little on the higher side

  • Expert's Conclusion

The Pulsar 125 Neon gives enthusiasts a taste of the Pulsar’s sporty DNA but in a less intimidating and more affordable package. However, its lower-than-its-class fuel-efficiency may not appeal to the more conservative 125cc buyers -- from that aspect, the Glamour and CB Shine SP are still better bets.

  • Iam buying

Iam buying a bajaj pulsar 125 bike in november 2020 it's very comfortable for riding, Sporty looking but one problem is there. In rainy season fuel tank cover is not stop the water. Some water leakage and mixed in petrol.

  • Good quality

Very good quality this bike is very comfortable for family and in this bike mostly safety features like when stand down side bike in gear when bike automatic off

  • 5.0
    Quiet impressive

I drived pulsar 125, It was quiet impressive.I really enjoyed the drive, God pickup, Mileage overall a highly recommended bike brand. You should also try it.

  • Driving experience

Driving experience - super spine support for long rides.Mileage - I get 52+ since I use significantly fewer brakes. Pickup - too good as compared to other models like glamour and shine in this range. Service cost - more or less equivalent to hero and honda engine - good, But lacks new technology. Hero, on the other hand, keeps adding technology to their bikes but no other technology in pulsar since it's inception. Performance - I've ridden 360+ kilometers in one single day. So, No doubt about its performance. Build-build quality is far better than other models in this segment.
