Hyundai has hiked the pricing of the Kona Electric by Rs 3,000.

Hyundai Kona Electric Engine

The Kona in India comes with a 39.2kWh battery pack along with a claimed range of 452km (Modified Indian Driving Cycle - MIDC). Output figures are rated at 136PS of power and 395Nm of torque. 0-to-100kmph comes up in 9.7 seconds while the top speed stands at 154kmph. The Kona Electric also supports 50kW fast charging which enables it to juice up from zero to 80 per cent in under 60 minutes. The same takes 6 hours and 10 mins with a 7.2kWh charger.

Hyundai Kona Electric Variants

There are only two variants on offer with the exact same specifications: Premium and Premium Dual-Tone with a price difference of Rs 20,000. The Kona EV can be had with five colour options -- Polar White, Marina Blue, Typhoon Silver, Phantom black and Polar White with a black colour roof.

Some standout features on offer with the Kona Electric are a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, voice command recognition, wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, front ventilated and heated seats, 10-way power driver seat, 8-speaker KRELL audio system, heads-up display, electric sunroof, and cruise control. It also gets safety features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, blind spot detection and autonomous emergency braking.

    I tried out the kona ev.It has excellent and smooth handling, Strong suspension, And respectable acceleration, Making it a driver's vehicle.I would want a larger boot so that my backpack and golf cart could fit inside.I'll now need to lower one of the back seats to make room for my daily supplies from the market.
