About Kia
dir="ltr">History
Korean automaker Kia has a long history of producing global cars for sale in Europe and other countries. It started out in 1944 as a bicycle manufacturer and graduated to producing cars in the 1980s. Since then, it has become a globally renowned carmaker under its parent company, Hyundai.
Kia Motors set up a manufacturing facility to build cars in India in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, in 2017. It has been in India for barely four years, but already, it’s a mainstream carmaker with multiple models on sale. The Seltos was Kia’s debut car in 2019, based on the SP2 SUV concept that was globally unveiled in India at Auto Expo 2018. It was launched in the lucrative compact SUV segment that allowed Kia to price the car well in India. Since then, the automaker has introduced vehicles at multiple price points – a full-size people carrier, a more affordable alternative to the Seltos, the smaller Sonet SUV, and a smaller MPV.
Product Portfolio
SUVs: The Seltos and sub-4m Sonet form Kia’s SUV front. The former rivals 5-seater SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun. For the Sonet, India’s sub-4m SUV segment is teeming with rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Mahindra XUV300.
People carriers: The Carnival was Kia’s first people mover in India. It can seat anywhere from 7 to 9 people, and it slots above the Toyota Innova in the market. In late 2021 Kia introduced a ‘recreational vehicle’ (RV), the Carens three-row people carrier.
Greatest Hits
Kia’s top products for India have been:
Kia Seltos: Tech loaded SUV in its segment
Kia Sonet: Better equipped for the price than many of its rivals and even larger SUVs
Future Prospects:
For now, SUVs and people carriers, both lucrative segments in India, are the bread-and-butter for Kia. Electric vehicles (EVs) from Kia are currently available in the global market, but we don’t get them here yet. Kia’s parent company Hyundai has announced plans to bring its global electric car platform to our shores. As the Indian EV market gains momentum and our charging infrastructure improves, current and future Kia electric models are likely to be launched in India, such as the Kia EV6.
When the carmaker debuted with its first offering, it had the most cutting-edge safety and infotainment features in the segment. But since then, other carmakers have introduced mild hybrid and fully electric powertrains, and active safety and driver assistance tech to the segment. Given that the Korean brand offers vehicles with these features in other countries, catching up might not be that hard to do.

Sonet3.9454 reviewsMahindra is having long waiting
Mahindra is having long waiting periods unprofessional, Why take bookings when you can't deliver, Can open a new plant with the booking amounts and manufacture the cars, Made in india but handicapped for imported semi conductors, No perfect family car

Carnival4.3137 reviewsA palace on wheels.
A palace on wheels. If comfort is your thing.. Family is your first.. Look no further. Carnival is miles ahead of the nearest option. It is soft, quiet, easy and extremely suave. Could it have been sportier, yes but its not for the driver. But the diesel engine does pack a punch and can't be easily left behind.

All three cars are good in their forte. Kia Sonet looks curvy and powerful. Lots of variants to choose from and proper automatics too. Like the Seltos the interiors don't disappoint. The new update brings four airbags and TPMS as standard. Six airbags are now available on more models too. Some premium features and transmissions have also trickled down to lower variants. On the other hand, the Seltos continues to impress with added standard safety and claimed better ride quality. It is a vehicle you can’t go wrong with. Because of its high wow factor, it attracts a lot of attention. More importantly, it backs it up with a solid and sensible personality too. And Tata Nexon looks better, feels more premium on the inside, and now has a feature list to walk shoulder to shoulder with much of the competition. Reasons to buy the Nexon, however, remain the same i.e. its 5-star safety, ride comfort, sound system, rear seat space, and value-for-money mid variants. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

The Carens immediately comes across as a practical all-rounder with the right pricing to make it a proper disruptor. It’s when you want these qualities combined with better interior quality, more features, a stronger safety package, and more sophisticated drive options, that you should consider the Carens. On the hand, Toyota Innova Crysta is an MPV segment car and it would be a reliable package, if you require a comfortable car for a large family and want good power delivery, safety, and a spacious cabin, you may go for Innova Crysta. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

As technology is advancing in every sector, automobile engineers are designing cars keeping in mind the factor of the depletion of fossil fuels. As the crude oil is depleting day by day by the extraction from the ocean beds. The engineers are looking for a renewable source of power for the vehicles and what is better than electricity. The electricity is cheap in price, nonpolluting, and very reliable in terms of linear performance. The only factor with electric vehicles is the performance of the EV. The battery-sourced vehicles lack the power and torque which is required for the bigger vehicles the most. Moreover, electric vehicles require a large amount of time to get charged while petrol-powered engines get topped up very easily. After seeking such points the automotive brands have started to go for Hybrid vehicles, the Hybrid vehicles use two sources to power the vehicle.
