Yamaha Fascino 125 Engine

For 2021, Yamaha has equipped the Fascino with a hybrid engine which works in tandem with battery to help extract 16 percent more mileage while producing 30 percent more torque (compared to the 113cc Fascino). As a result, its torque output has risen from 9.7Nm to 10.3Nm. Its power, though, remains the same as before, at 8.2PS. It continues to use their silent start and start-stop system. It uses the same hardware as before -- a telescopic front fork and a single shock absorber at the rear. For braking, the Fascino uses a 190mm disc up front or a drum unit, along with a drum at the rear, with CBS as standard. The 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels are wrapped with 90-section front and 110-section rear tubeless tyres respectively. Interestingly, the scooter tips the scales at 99kg kerb, making it the lightest 125cc scooter on sale in India.

Yamaha Fascino 125 Variants

The Fascino is offered in two variants: drum and disc, with seven colour options for the former and nine colour options for the latter.

Yamaha Fascino 125 Design

The design of the Yamaha Fascino 125 is similar to its 110cc sibling. The curvaceous panels look bigger in the Fascino 125 FI and the tail section looks noticeably longer. Yamaha has also pulled the handlebar closer to the rider by 18mm and it is 20mm higher as well. This should ensure comfortable ergonomics. The stubby exhaust shape is neatly masked by the curvy exhaust heat shield, which goes well with the overall theme of the scooter.

Yamaha Fascino 125 Features

The 2021 Yamaha Fascino 125 FI comes with a Smart Motor Generator System, essentially a silent starter. It also comes with a Stop & Start system which automatically turns off the engine when idling in traffic for a while. The motor cranks up again as soon as the throttle is applied. Yamaha has introduced the Fascino 125 Hybrid for 2021 which features an LED headlight, LED tail light and a full digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. Other than this, it also gets a side stand cut-off switch, 21-litre underseat storage and an optional USB charger.

    I bought this scooter about a month back, Good things 1.Better mileage - i ride this for 300+kms from a 5 ltr 2.Better handling - suits for both men and women 3.Good looking 4.Increased pickup bad things1.Hard suspention 2.Low ground clearance 3.Breaking can be improved.

    I bought yamaha fascino in december 2021, And its battery down in 6 months.When i approched service centre, They said it will take minimum 5-10 days to replace battery in warranty period and i have to keep scooter at service centre during this period.This was difficult for me as i have to ride 70 km to work place in my scooter everyday and there was no other travel options available.Really disappointed by yamaha's response.
