Land Rover Defender Latest Updates

The Land Rover Defender 75th Limited Edition has debuted in India. Based on the top-spec HSE trim levels, the special edition celebrates 75 years of the carmaker’s existence. It gets various styling cues inspired by the Series I Land Rovers, including a new Grasmere Green paint scheme.

Land Rover Defender Engine

Land Rover offers the Defender with three engine options: a 300PS/400Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol (P300), a 300PS/650Nm 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel (D300), and a new 400PS/550Nm 3.0-litre mild-hybrid turbo-petrol (P400). It gets a sole 8-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drivetrain. In terms of performance, the Defender 90 goes from 0-100kmph in 7.1 seconds (P300), 6.0 seconds (P400), and 6.7 seconds (D300). The Defender 110 completes the 0-100kmph sprint in 7.4 seconds (P300), 6.1 seconds (P400), and 7.0 seconds (D300). All the engines have a top speed of 191kmph.

Land Rover Defender Variants

The Defender is now available in three configurations: 90, 110 and 130.

The first two configurations sold in India can be further had in nine broad trims : Standard, S, SE, HSE, X-Dynamic S, X-Dynamic SE, X-Dynamic HSE, First Edition, and X.

Land Rover Defender Features

Land Rover Defender features a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, Pivi Pro connectivity, in-built navigation system, heated and cooled front seats, cruise control, ambient lighting, a head-up display, a three-zone climate control, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Safety is taken care of by electronic traction control, dynamic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, cornering braking control, blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control, and rear pre-collision monitor. Land Rover additionally offers four customisation packs: Explorer, Adventure, Country and Urban.
