Suzuki Access 125 Latest Updates

Suzuki has updated the Access 125 with new colours. The standard variant of the scooter is now available in two new colour schemes: Metallic Dark Greenish Blue and Metallic Matte Black. On the other hand, the variant with smartphone connectivity is now offered in Glossy Grey colour scheme. That said, there's no change in the prices.

Suzuki Access 125 Engine

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 comes with a 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine which churns out 8.7PS at 6750rpm and 10Nm at 5500rpm. Comparatively, the BS4-compliant Suzuki Access 125 generates the same amount of power but at 250rpm later and 0.2Nm more torque at 500rpm earlier. The engine is paired with a CVT unit. The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 comes with a telescopic front fork and a single shock absorber at the rear. Brakes include a drum brake or a disc up front and a drum unit at the rear, with CBS as standard across all the variants. The 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel come either in alloy and steel, depending on the variant. The wheels are wrapped with 90/90 - 12 and 90/100 - 10 front and rear tubeless tyres respectively.

Suzuki Access 125 Variants

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 is broadly classified into three categories variants: Standard, Special Edition and Bluetooth-enabled. The Special Edition comes with chromed-out circular rear view mirrors, tan brown seat, special edition logo on the side panels, brown interior panels, standard alloy wheels, and USB charging socket. This variant costs Rs 74,086 for the front drum brake version and Rs 74,986 for the disc brake variant. On the other hand, the Standard model is available in three sub-variants: drum brake with steel wheels (Rs 70,686), drum brake with alloy wheels (Rs 72,386) and disc brake with alloy wheels (Rs 73,286). In the Bluetooth-enabled console Access 125, you can opt between a front drum brake option (retailing at Rs 77,886) or a front disc brake (Rs 78,786). All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

Suzuki Access 125 Design

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 has a very conservative and gender-neutral design language. The Suzuki Access BS6 comes with a new LED headlamp. The rear gets a large single-piece grab rail and the external fuel filler cap is located right below it. The chromed-out exhaust heat shield adds to the premium quotient as well.

Suzuki Access 125 Features

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 comes with an analogue speedometer with a digital inset to display the odometer readings and fuel level. There’s also an Eco Assist Illumination around the speedometer lettering which lights up as per the user’s riding style. This feature gives a fair idea about how one rides efficiently. Another notable feature is the LED headlamp, which is standard across all the variants in the BS6-compliant version. The scooter also comes with the Suzuki Easy Start System which ensures the engine cranks up at a touch of the starter button. For added practicality, there’s an apron-mounted cubby hole that can hold a half-litre water bottle, and an optional USB charger right next to it. The under-seat storage stands at 21.8 litres and for better convenience, it now comes with an external fuel filler instead of a conventional underseat fuel filler cap. As far as safety is concerned, it gets a combined braking system as standard. The scooter is available in both alloy wheels and steel wheels.

Suzuki Access 125 Competitors

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 primarily rivals the Honda Activa 125 BS6, Yamaha Fascino 125 FI, TVS Jupiter and the Hero Destini 125 BS6 in the 125cc segment.

What is good and bad in Access 125?

  • Access 125 Positives

Manages to put out the same power as before despite being BS6 compliant, Still one of the most refined scooters in India, Superb ride quality -- soaks up bumps really well.

  • Access 125 Negatives

External fuel-filler cap isn’t exactly convenient. It still requires you to get off the scooter to unlock it, Brakes are not as sharp as some of its competition, The design is starting to feel dated.

  • Expert's Conclusion

The Suzuki Access 125 BS6 has all the crucial updates to help it continue its streak of being the best-selling scooter in the 125cc segment. Sure it does have its own set of shortcomings but as an overall package, the Suzuki Access 125 BS6 is capable of holding its own in the competitive segment.

  • I can say it's a family friendly

I can say it's a family friendly bike as even my mom can ride it, I bought disc brake model which assures me that braking will be safer and powerful than drum brakes, It's bluetooth doesn't have many features but it's suitable for comfort riders who don't wanna stop bike just to see who's message or phone it was, Plus the new colours catches one's eye, Especially the matte blue, Again it's a family oriented scooter and not a performance bike but still it has a great pickup, And with good mileage it is cost effective too, I like electric scooters but due to rumours and news of them catching fire, I was tilted to access, In terms of features and efficiency i believe access is better than other scooters, Ntorq is nice but it has more disadvantages than any other scooters, Main with the auto ignition and instrument cluster, If i have to say a model of access, Go with the matte blue bt model as it has looks with performance

  • The BEST MOPED in my opinion

I have the old access 125 version i have been driving this for 7 years now.The best moped it has powerful 125 cc engine its brakes are good it has enough space in its dikki seats are comfortable good speed good acceleration only a wee bit heavy than other moped but man does it speed so good.I love it! not even many commuters have 125 engine.Mileage is a little bit on lower side but that's fine you don't buy a moped for mileage anyways. You buy moped to ride in city and you may not know how to ride a gear motor bike and with speed and easy and storage so it has everything best decision of my life regarding buying a moped i reasearhed a lot while buiying this.I love it.11/10 stars!.
